Dr. Lance Miller, Psy.D., founder and clinical director, has extensive experience working with personality disorders, neuropsychological conditions, trauma victims, marital discord, and addiction. A graduate of the prestigious Ryokan College School of Psychology, Dr. Miller is the executive director of a drug and alchohol rehabilitation center in Tarzana, CA, and works part-time in private practice as well, helping people strive to achieve balance, emotional well being, and self-assurance. Dr. Miller holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and another in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Efrain Zepeda, Psy.D., L.C.S.W. specializes in forensic, social, and developmental psychology. His clinical specialties include assessing attachment problems and dynamics, treating trauma-based conditions, and improving parent-child relationships. Dr. Zepeda is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with adoptive families for the past 14 years. As a psychotherapist, he has provided mental health services to children, at-risk youth, couples, and adults suffering with mental illness. Sylvia Gribbell, M.S., L.C.S.W. provides assessment, consultation, training, seminars, and outpatient mental health services. She specializes in working with individuals, children, adolescents and families. Ms. Gribbell's extensive work within public child welfare, and as a bilingual (English/Spanish) outpatient therapist at a county-contracted non-profit, has provided her with experience working with at-risk youth, trauma survivors, and children with disabilities and their families. She has received training in evidence-based practices such as MAP and TFCBT to address symptoms and behaviors of individuals experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and disruptive behaviors. Sylvia received her MSW from USC School of Social Work and earned her BA in Political Science from UCLA.
Esmeralda Garcia, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master's of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ms. Garcia has a background in social work with children, the elderly and disabled. Ms. Garcia is available to meet the needs of your family in English or Spanish. Ms. Garcia diligently works with families to help empower them with knowledge. She conducts psychotherapy, with an emphasis in family concerns, and offers training seminars focused on parenting issues and other psychoeducational concerns.
John Thomas, Psy.D., holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He has extensive experience working with Regional Center Clients in Group Homes, Supported Living and Day Programs, as well as providing an Adult Foster Home for Regional Center Clients. He completed an internship with the Open Door Community Health Centers in Humboldt County, where he provided individual therapy, incorporating supportive counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, modeling, contingency management, self-monitoring encouragement, motivational enhancement, and self-management support strategies. He also has experience facilitating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy groups as well as a weekly Anger Management Group.
